As a Daily Joe Senior Accounting Analyst, you’ll own key reconciliations, resolve complex variances, and help ensure the general ledger and financial reports are accurate and complete. You’ll strengthen controls and processes while producing reliable information the business can act on.





Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation Ownership: Manage and review daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are resolved on time.  
  • General Ledger Management: Review journal entries, account balances, and supporting schedules to maintain an accurate general ledger.  
  • Month-End Closing: Prepare and review account schedules, adjusting entries, and other requirements for a timely and accurate close.  
  • Variance Investigation: Analyze discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate the necessary corrections with concerned teams.  
  • System Data Integrity: Monitor transactions and account balances within the accounting system to ensure records are complete and properly classified.
  • Reporting and Insights: Prepare reliable financial reports, highlight significant findings, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Controls and Process Improvement: Strengthen reconciliation controls, document procedures, and improve accounting workflows. 
  • Team Guidance: Review the work of junior team members, provide guidance, and help ensure deadlines and quality standards are met. 
  • Audit Support: Prepare schedules and supporting documents for internal reviews and external audits.  

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in general accounting, reconciliation, general ledger management, or month-end closing
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, account balances, and financial statements.
  • Experience using ERP or accounting systems such as Odoo, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks  
  • Strong spreadsheet skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and reconciliation formulas
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve complex accounting issues  
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ownership of deadlines
  • Ability to review work, communicate findings clearly, and guide junior team members

Nice to have

  • Experience in an F&B, retail, or multi-branch business
  • Experience reconciling POS, bank, inventory, payment, or intercompany transactions  
  • Exposure to internal controls, audit, or accounting process improvement
  • CPA license or relevant accounting certification
